How does Africa get clean water?

Most African communities fetching water from rivers : Most Africans still do not have access to clean drinking water. Eugenia Uwamahoro and several of her eight children have to trek 2 kilometres each day to a river to get about 140 litres of water for drinking, cooking, washing and feeding her four cows.

Billions are spent every year, trying to unlock new water sources, yet so many people still lack access. Give to Africa’s mission is to ensure sustainable water is at the top of the agenda when starting any new

Our projects aim to address the sustainability gap through using state of the art technology and innovation to drive forward clean water solutions. By not acting, communities will continue to suffer from infectious diseases, failed harvests and poor living conditions. With more than half the current water sources failing in the region, it is vital to act now.

Across sub-Saharan Africa, children are not receiving the education they deserve.

Without classrooms they are forced to study under trees. Without clean water and toilets they get ill and miss school, and girls are unable to deal with their periods with dignity.

When you donate to GivetoAfrica, you directly support our work with remote and rural school communities across Kenya and Uganda. You help us ensure that vulnerable children get the right infrastructure, teaching and family support so they can get the most from their time at school and go on to lead productive, healthy and happy lives.

We believe in the power of education to help end poverty. But, without the dedicated support of people just like you, we couldn’t deliver our vital work that fights inequality.

Donate to help children in Africa now. It could be the most powerful thing you do today.
